Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 3.44% or 0.32 points to trade at 9.68 at the close. Poste Italiane SpA (MI:PST) added 2.34% or 0.172 points to end at 7.520 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 2.33% or 0.73 points to 32.11 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Juventus Football Club (MI:JUVE), which lost 3.29% or 0.0440 points to trade at 1.2950 in late trade. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 1.66% or 0.250 points to end at 14.820 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) shed 1.24% or 0.1220 points to 9.6900.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 181 to 176 and 35 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.66% or 0.92 to $54.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.41% or 0.26 to hit $62.49 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.75 to trade at $1318.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1436, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8759.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.562.
