Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 3.76% or 0.114 points to trade at 3.148 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) added 2.23% or 0.14 points to end at 6.65 and Banca Generali (MI:BGN) was up 1.12% or 0.32 points to 28.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which lost 1.38% or 0.24 points to trade at 17.15 in late trade. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 1.10% or 0.0085 points to end at 0.7625 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) shed 1.05% or 0.050 points to 4.726.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 173 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.84% or 0.43 to $51.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.07% or 0.61 to hit $57.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.39 to trade at $1305.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1810, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 92.99.
