Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which rose 3.18% or 0.70 points to trade at 22.74 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.01% or 0.83 points to end at 28.43 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was up 2.20% or 0.46 points to 21.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which lost 3.51% or 0.370 points to trade at 10.160 in late trade. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 2.86% or 0.078 points to end at 2.652 and Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII) shed 2.72% or 0.116 points to 4.146.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 248 to 112 and 13 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.31% or 0.17 to $55.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.58% or 0.36 to hit $61.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1280.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1772, while EUR/GBP fell 0.35% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.78.
