Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG), which rose 1.19% or 200 points to trade at 17070 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 0.97% or 43 points to end at 4495 and Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) was up 0.90% or 0.6 points to 67.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF), which lost 1.88% or 101 points to trade at 5260 in late trade. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 1.62% or 11.0 points to end at 670.0 and Teva (TA:TEVA) shed 1.61% or 230 points to 14060.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 231 to 107 and 104 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.06% or 0.56 to $52.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.43% or 0.24 to hit $55.48 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.50% or 5.85 to trade at $1164.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.12% to 3.8030, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 4.0516.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 100.84.
