Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 0.10% or 7 points to trade at 6950 at the close. Shufersal (TA:SAE) unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to end at 2340 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was down 0.48% or 0.2 points to 41.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 5.25% or 79 points to trade at 1426 in late trade. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) declined 3.19% or 1070 points to end at 32440 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) shed 3.14% or 1700 points to 52500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 365 to 39 and 14 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.61% or 0.39 to $63.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.90% or 0.61 to hit $67.01 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 6.00 to trade at $1330.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.74% to 3.4842, while EUR/ILS rose 0.56% to 4.3015.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 89.71.
