Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 1.03% or 81 points to trade at 7931 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 0.54% or 150 points to end at 27800 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was down 0.23% or 15 points to 6420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Melisron (TA:MLSR), which lost 3.24% or 530 points to trade at 15840 in late trade. First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) declined 2.62% or 217 points to end at 8051 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) shed 2.61% or 62 points to 2310.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 302 to 76 and 34 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.27% or 0.89 to $68.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.10% or 0.86 to hit $77.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1202.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.43% to 3.6021, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 4.1880.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.07.
