Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which rose 3.00% or 212 points to trade at 7271 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 2.69% or 29 points to end at 1108 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 2.54% or 2700 points to 109200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.46% or 63 points to trade at 1350 in late trade. Harel (TA:HARL) declined 2.16% or 61 points to end at 2761 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 1.73% or 137 points to 7800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 196 to 171 and 40 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.63% or 0.87 to $54.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.43% or 0.89 to hit $62.97 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1242.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.25% to 3.7260, while EUR/ILS fell 0.33% to 4.2245.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 96.995.
