Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 2.84% or 2,760.00 points to trade at 100,000.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 0.56% or 44.00 points to end at 7,917.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 0.40% or 100.00 points to 25,160.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which lost 3.00% or 6,150.00 points to trade at 198,850.00 in late trade. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 2.69% or 73.00 points to end at 2,645.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) shed 2.57% or 157.00 points to 5,943.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 357 to 114 and 65 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.09% or 0.07 to $74.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $76.89 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 15.59 to trade at $2,680.99 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.59% to 3.67, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 108.99.
