Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Insurance and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 4.17% or 223 points to trade at 5577 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.15% or 12 points to end at 1052 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 0.97% or 540 points to 56320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 3.19% or 3400 points to trade at 103200 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 2.46% or 52 points to end at 2063 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) shed 2.41% or 7.7 points to 311.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 213 to 168 and 42 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.80% or 0.43 to $54.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.84% or 0.52 to hit $62.50 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.95 to trade at $1316.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.35% to 3.6203, while EUR/ILS rose 0.04% to 4.1190.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 95.998.
