Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 2.12% or 570.0 points to trade at 27420.0 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 1.92% or 136 points to end at 7219 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.33% or 410 points to 31200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which lost 3.51% or 155 points to trade at 4261 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) declined 3.10% or 17.5 points to end at 547.0 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) shed 2.27% or 175 points to 7540.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 287 to 120 and 24 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.28% or 0.83 to $65.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.74% or 0.51 to hit $69.40 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.40 to trade at $1344.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.37% to 3.4316, while EUR/ILS rose 0.78% to 4.2775.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 88.72.
