Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Real Estate and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT), which rose 3.00% or 1440 points to trade at 49500 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 2.01% or 144 points to end at 7325 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 1.33% or 450 points to 34300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which lost 4.79% or 160 points to trade at 3180 in late trade. Partner (TA:PTNR) declined 4.44% or 90 points to end at 1935 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 3.00% or 46 points to 1486.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 254 to 152 and 25 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.35% or 0.89 to $65.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.43% or 1.00 to hit $69.15 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 13.00 to trade at $1339.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.4015, while EUR/ILS fell 0.30% to 4.2021.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 89.32.
