Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 3.32% or 340 points to trade at 10590 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) added 2.95% or 132 points to end at 4600 and Harel (TA:HARL) was up 2.82% or 57 points to 2077 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 7.05% or 161 points to trade at 2123 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 2.93% or 201 points to end at 6650 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) shed 1.52% or 97 points to 6270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 215 to 184 and 10 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.89% or 0.93 to $50.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.16% or 0.64 to hit $55.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.84 to trade at $1329.84 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.43% to 3.5279, while EUR/ILS fell 0.52% to 4.1892.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 92.37.
