Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Shufersal (TA:SAE), which rose 1.35% or 28 points to trade at 2099 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 1.32% or 87 points to end at 6657 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG) was up 1.30% or 300 points to 23420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which lost 4.67% or 115 points to trade at 2350 in late trade. Partner (TA:PTNR) declined 3.90% or 58 points to end at 1428 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.54% or 7.0 points to 447.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 212 to 170 and 27 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.90% or 1.30 to $67.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.05% or 1.53 to hit $73.16 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.17% or 15.40 to trade at $1303.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.33% to 3.6095, while EUR/ILS fell 0.39% to 4.3279.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 92.31.
