Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Enlight Ene (TASE:ENLT), which rose 4.17% or 240.00 points to trade at 6,000.00 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 2.12% or 26.00 points to end at 1,255.00 and OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) was up 2.01% or 61.00 points to 3,103.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which lost 1.68% or 49.00 points to trade at 2,864.00 in late trade. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 1.66% or 78.00 points to end at 4,611.00 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) shed 1.37% or 111.00 points to 7,969.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 283 to 193 and 61 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.02% or 0.71 to $68.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.03% or 0.75 to hit $71.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.77% or 20.24 to trade at $2,624.86 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.60% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.01% to 3.81.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 107.99.
