Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 3.66% or 540 points to trade at 15290 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 3.55% or 220 points to end at 6410 and Discount (TA:DSCT) was up 1.73% or 11.2 points to 659.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 3.14% or 4600 points to trade at 142100 in late trade. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) declined 2.93% or 850 points to end at 28120 and Nice (TA:NICE) shed 2.55% or 610 points to 23280.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 192 to 147 and 119 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude Oil for May delivery was down 0.46% or 0.22 to $47.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent Oil for delivery in May fell 1.53% or 0.85 to hit $55.06 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.13% or 1.50 to trade at $1189.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.94% to 3.9165, while EUR/ILS fell 1.31% to 4.2713.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 97.55.
