Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 1.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 3.74% or 95 points to trade at 2634 at the close. Poalim (TA:POLI) added 3.20% or 66 points to end at 2128 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 3.00% or 3900 points to 133900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG), which lost 2.22% or 340 points to trade at 15000 in late trade. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 2.03% or 13.6 points to end at 656.3 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 1.23% or 170 points to 13600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 235 to 92 and 124 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.70% or 0.37 to $52.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.10% or 0.65 to hit $58.35 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.20 to trade at $1152.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.08% to 3.7706, while EUR/ILS fell 1.25% to 4.1512.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.02% at 96.93.
