Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 3.49% or 3,170.00 points to trade at 94,020.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) added 3.30% or 94.00 points to end at 2,944.00 and Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) was up 2.95% or 40.00 points to 1,395.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which lost 1.91% or 1,850.00 points to trade at 94,970.00 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 0.88% or 16.00 points to end at 1,792.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) shed 0.43% or 5.00 points to 1,150.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 313 to 151 and 74 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.18% or 0.84 to $70.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.55% or 0.41 to hit $74.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 1.69 to trade at $2,674.11 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.30% to 3.59, while EUR/ILS fell 0.31% to 3.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 106.54.
