Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 11.46% or 764 points to trade at 7430 at the close. Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) added 5.58% or 1550.0 points to end at 29350.0 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was up 3.60% or 1820 points to 52370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG), which lost 2.93% or 500 points to trade at 16540 in late trade. Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG) declined 2.76% or 610 points to end at 21500 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) shed 1.69% or 33 points to 1917.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 284 to 115 and 31 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.39% or 0.84 to $59.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.86% or 1.20 to hit $63.16 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.50 to trade at $1354.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.35% to 3.5355, while EUR/ILS rose 0.52% to 4.4102.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 88.73.
