Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT), which rose 9.96% or 3,640.00 points to trade at 40,200.00 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 5.45% or 3,910.00 points to end at 75,630.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 3.26% or 500.00 points to 15,830.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which lost 1.98% or 43.00 points to trade at 2,128.00 in late trade. Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) declined 1.92% or 2,790.00 points to end at 142,660.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) shed 1.91% or 106.00 points to 5,435.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 307 to 137 and 95 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.54% or 1.19 to $75.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.48% or 1.19 to hit $79.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.95 to trade at $2,426.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.71% to 3.72, while EUR/ILS rose 1.22% to 4.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 104.43.
