Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.78% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 3.36% or 3,280.00 points to trade at 100,810.00 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) added 3.08% or 189.00 points to end at 6,330.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 3.04% or 6,500.00 points to 220,500.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Strauss Group (TASE:STRS), which lost 3.82% or 287.00 points to trade at 7,223.00 in late trade. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 2.57% or 2,310.00 points to end at 87,490.00 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) shed 2.35% or 147.00 points to 6,100.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 285 to 190 and 63 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.11% or 1.42 to $68.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.80% or 1.28 to hit $72.40 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.18% or 31.34 to trade at $2,690.94 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.56, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.06% to 3.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 105.49.
