Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL), which rose 2.81% or 69 points to trade at 2523 at the close. First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) added 2.58% or 181 points to end at 7203 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 2.57% or 500 points to 19940 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which lost 1.52% or 500 points to trade at 32390 in late trade. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 0.98% or 97 points to end at 9830 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) shed 0.94% or 410 points to 43040.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 291 to 99 and 24 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.46% or 0.30 to $65.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $69.40 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 13.20 to trade at $1341.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.22% to 3.4878, while EUR/ILS fell 0.61% to 4.3244.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 89.05.
