Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.67% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which rose 8.71% or 125 points to trade at 1560 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 8.41% or 5550 points to end at 71550 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was up 2.63% or 190 points to 7417 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 2.93% or 51 points to trade at 1692 in late trade. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) declined 1.43% or 460 points to end at 31680 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) shed 1.34% or 420 points to 30900.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 259 to 143 and 30 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.94% or 0.60 to $64.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.78% or 0.54 to hit $69.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.19% or 15.80 to trade at $1338.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.75% to 3.3918, while EUR/ILS rose 0.69% to 4.1416.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.13% at 90.62.
