Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Biomed and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which rose 7.77% or 19.1 points to trade at 265.0 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) added 5.71% or 561 points to end at 10390 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was up 3.88% or 85 points to 2275 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Drilling LP (TASE:DEDRp), which lost 1.41% or 15 points to trade at 1052 in late trade. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) declined 1.19% or 56 points to end at 4644 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) shed 1.06% or 32 points to 2996.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 239 to 137 and 36 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 5.41% or 2.92 to $56.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 4.11% or 2.54 to hit $64.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 3.00% or 40.45 to trade at $1389.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.22% to 3.5944, while EUR/ILS rose 0.79% to 4.0573.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 96.213.
