Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance, Biomed and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 3.22% or 2150 points to trade at 68960 at the close. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) added 2.75% or 840 points to end at 31370 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) was up 2.52% or 88 points to 3583 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 1.55% or 170 points to trade at 10800 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 1.42% or 900 points to end at 62600 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) shed 0.67% or 14 points to 2064.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 266 to 111 and 40 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.29% or 0.81 to $63.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $67.04 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1330.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.4833, while EUR/ILS fell 0.25% to 4.2872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 89.81.
