Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.53% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which rose 3.32% or 273 points to trade at 8500 at the close. Harel (TA:HARL) added 2.58% or 62 points to end at 2463 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 2.25% or 370 points to 16800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which lost 0.99% or 46 points to trade at 4614 in late trade. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) declined 0.94% or 1.7 points to end at 178.2 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) shed 0.70% or 13 points to 1840.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 218 to 147 and 47 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.75% or 0.40 to $53.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $61.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.77% or 22.60 to trade at $1302.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.05% to 3.6624, while EUR/ILS rose 0.08% to 4.1804.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.86% at 95.470.
