Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 5.33% or 3170 points to trade at 62630 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 3.72% or 52 points to end at 1451 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was up 2.38% or 3.7 points to 159.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp), which lost 1.87% or 15 points to trade at 800 in late trade. Melisron (TA:MLSR) declined 1.61% or 240 points to end at 14650 and Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) shed 1.19% or 35 points to 2902.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 273 to 108 and 32 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.05% or 0.03 to $59.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.32% or 0.20 to hit $62.92 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.57% or 20.90 to trade at $1351.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.13% to 3.5315, while EUR/ILS rose 0.37% to 4.3815.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 89.18.
