Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Communication and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.40% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 3.05% or 226 points to trade at 7626 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 2.41% or 203 points to end at 8642 and Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) was up 1.47% or 30 points to 2064 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.10% or 8.2 points to trade at 381.5 in late trade. Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) declined 1.91% or 800 points to end at 41030 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) shed 0.79% or 0.3 points to 37.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 198 to 173 and 25 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.04% or 1.40 to $70.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.99% or 0.74 to hit $75.50 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1223.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.27% to 3.6618, while EUR/ILS rose 0.71% to 4.2873.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 94.09.
