Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.33% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TA:DLEKG), which rose 3.54% or 1750 points to trade at 51150 at the close. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) added 3.36% or 990 points to end at 30490 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) was up 2.69% or 1.2 points to 45.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which lost 3.32% or 211 points to trade at 6150 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) declined 2.55% or 13.0 points to end at 496.2 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 1.81% or 31 points to 1685.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 230 to 160 and 26 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.52% or 0.30 to $57.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.71% or 0.45 to hit $64.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.20 to trade at $1267.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.23% to 3.4956, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 4.1526.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 92.87.
