Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 5.00% or 4,420.00 points to trade at 92,760.00 at the close. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) added 4.20% or 201.00 points to end at 4,987.00 and Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) was up 1.97% or 21.00 points to 1,088.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which lost 2.48% or 260.00 points to trade at 10,230.00 in late trade. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 1.99% or 24.00 points to end at 1,181.00 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) shed 1.76% or 9.30 points to 517.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 241 to 221 and 76 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $69.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $73.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 13.60 to trade at $2,628.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.74, while EUR/ILS rose 0.25% to 3.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 106.15.
