Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 2.17% or 1540 points to trade at 72610 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 2.10% or 3.3 points to end at 160.2 and Nice Ltd (TA:NICE) was up 1.66% or 600 points to 36740 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which lost 3.18% or 1030.0 points to trade at 31320.0 in late trade. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 1.96% or 49 points to end at 2457 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 1.93% or 280 points to 14210.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 210 to 167 and 36 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $70.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.79% or 0.62 to hit $78.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.82% or 24.00 to trade at $1294.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.00% to 3.5901, while EUR/ILS fell 0.59% to 4.2589.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 93.07.
