Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Real Estate and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 5.12% or 760 points to trade at 15610 at the close. Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG) added 4.51% or 1000 points to end at 23180 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 3.73% or 2400 points to 66700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 2.88% or 38 points to trade at 1281 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 2.34% or 167 points to end at 6959 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) shed 2.15% or 1110 points to 50470.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 195 to 172 and 44 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.15% or 0.09 to $61.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $65.29 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.60 to trade at $1332.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.4885, while EUR/ILS fell 0.44% to 4.2984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 89.77.
