Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.18% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 3.29% or 780.0 points to trade at 24500.0 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 2.71% or 138 points to end at 5231 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) was up 1.63% or 300 points to 18670 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which lost 4.25% or 189 points to trade at 4261 in late trade. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 4.20% or 520 points to end at 11850 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) shed 3.04% or 5.5 points to 175.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 203 to 184 and 26 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.29% or 0.17 to $58.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.21% or 0.13 to hit $63.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 10.55 to trade at $1284.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.5089, while EUR/ILS rose 0.00% to 4.1581.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.18.
