Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 4.99% or 74 points to trade at 1556 at the close. Harel (TA:HARL) added 2.44% or 64 points to end at 2684 and Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) was up 1.61% or 57 points to 3605 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Partner (TA:PTNR), which lost 2.31% or 49 points to trade at 2075 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 1.26% or 850 points to end at 66400 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.00% or 5.7 points to 563.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 204 to 190 and 42 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.54% or 0.98 to $64.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.51% or 1.04 to hit $70.07 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.30 to trade at $1337.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.09% to 3.4118, while EUR/ILS rose 0.12% to 4.1923.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 89.95.
