Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Banking and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 3.12% or 850 points to trade at 28120 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 2.84% or 221 points to end at 7991 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was up 1.09% or 1.8 points to 166.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 3.10% or 71 points to trade at 2219 in late trade. Partner (TA:PTNR) declined 1.72% or 25 points to end at 1428 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) shed 1.72% or 310 points to 17690.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 220 to 147 and 40 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.06% or 0.04 to $67.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $72.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1224.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.24% to 3.6411, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 4.2394.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.86.
