Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Biomed and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.10% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 5.24% or 27.0 points to trade at 542.0 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 4.35% or 3000 points to end at 72000 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was up 2.75% or 690.0 points to 25750.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Partner (TA:PTNR), which lost 4.34% or 95 points to trade at 2095 in late trade. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 3.37% or 115 points to end at 3302 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) shed 1.93% or 3.1 points to 157.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 223 to 180 and 35 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.47% or 0.30 to $64.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.17% or 0.82 to hit $69.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1335.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.91% to 3.4318, while EUR/ILS rose 0.61% to 4.1968.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 90.40.
