Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Banking and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which rose 4.74% or 407 points to trade at 9001 at the close. Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TA:FATTAL) added 1.71% or 660 points to end at 39360 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TA:PHOE1) was up 1.24% or 24 points to 1967 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which lost 1.48% or 100 points to trade at 6635 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 1.24% or 12 points to end at 994 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) shed 0.91% or 18 points to 1962.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 238 to 162 and 18 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.11% or 0.06 to $52.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.75% or 0.46 to hit $62.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.15 to trade at $1318.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.6414, while EUR/ILS rose 0.08% to 4.1259.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.417.
