Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 3.98% or 20.5 points to trade at 536.0 at the close. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) added 3.41% or 930 points to end at 28200 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was up 1.90% or 190 points to 10180 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which lost 2.75% or 133 points to trade at 4695 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 2.17% or 131 points to end at 5895 and Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) shed 1.68% or 52 points to 3044.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 202 to 195 and 10 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.18% or 0.57 to $47.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.57% or 0.30 to hit $52.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1291.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.39% to 3.5938, while EUR/ILS fell 0.43% to 4.2418.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.19.
