Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Infrastructure and Miscellaneous Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT), which rose 33.77% or 26 points to trade at 103 at the close. Dwi Aneka Jaya Kemasindo Tbk (JK:DAJK) added 24.14% or 28.00 points to end at 144.00 and Triwira Insanlestari Tbk (JK:TRIL) was up 23.53% or 12 points to 63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Multi Prima Sejahtera Tbk (JK:LPIN), which lost 10.00% or 550 points to trade at 4950 in late trade. Plaza Indonesia Realty Tbk (JK:PLIN) declined 10.00% or 410 points to end at 3690 and Victoria Insurance Tbk PT (JK:VINS) shed 9.88% or 8 points to 73.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 177 to 128 and 103 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.64% or 0.98 to $36.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.81% or 1.11 to hit $38.42 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.94% or 11.70 to trade at $1233.40 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 1.38% to 13210.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.38% to 9770.80.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.82.
