Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Agriculture, Miscellaneous Industry and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Intan Baruprana Finance Tbk (JK:IBFN), which rose 22.14% or 58.00 points to trade at 320.00 at the close. Eterindo Wahanatama Tbk (JK:ETWA) added 21.14% or 26 points to end at 149 and Bali Towerindo Sentra Tbk (JK:BALI) was up 11.43% or 80.00 points to 780.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Asiaplast Industries Tbk (JK:APLI), which lost 15.28% or 11 points to trade at 61 in late trade. Bank Maspion Indonesia Tbk (JK:BMAS) declined 14.21% or 54 points to end at 326 and Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA) shed 12.75% or 19.00 points to 130.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 219 to 92 and 46 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.10% or 0.04 to $43.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.63% or 0.31 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.40 to trade at $1093.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.32% to 13556.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.93% to 9955.35.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 97.91.
