Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Miscellaneous Industry and Infrastructure sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite lost 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Pembangunan Graha Lestari Tbk (JK:PGLI), which rose 10.17% or 6 points to trade at 65 at the close. Kabelindo Murni Tbk (JK:KBLM) added 9.40% or 11 points to end at 128 and Multipolar Tbk (JK:MLPL) was up 8.80% or 55 points to 680 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pudjiadi & Sons Tbk (JK:PNSE), which lost 10.28% or 47 points to trade at 410 in late trade. Betonjaya Manunggal Tbk (JK:BTON) declined 9.00% or 45 points to end at 455 and Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) shed 7.84% or 145 points to 1705.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 158 to 156 and 46 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.45% or 0.24 to $53.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.66% or 0.38 to hit $57.54 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1166.90 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.02% to 13347.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.63% to 9960.65.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 97.01.
