Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Travel and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Constructions Technical and Steel Constructions SA (AT:INCr), which rose 3.33% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.550 at the close. Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) added 2.80% or 0.400 points to end at 14.700 and Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) was up 2.53% or 0.21 points to 8.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr), which lost 6.05% or 0.102 points to trade at 1.583 in late trade. Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) declined 4.81% or 0.009 points to end at 0.182 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) shed 4.74% or 0.090 points to 1.810.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 30 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 3.60 to $1208.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.43% or 0.30 to hit $69.95 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.12 to trade at $77.90 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1625, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8953.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.91.
