Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Alumil (AT:ALMr), which rose 2.36% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.83 at the close. Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) added 1.50% or 0.22 points to end at 14.92 and Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) was up 1.45% or 0.12 points to 8.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ekter (AT:EKTr), which lost 4.84% or 0.22 points to trade at 4.33 in late trade. Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) declined 4.60% or 0.16 points to end at 3.32 and Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr) shed 2.78% or 0.60 points to 21.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 23 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.11% or 26.10 to $2,328.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $78.58 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.18% or 0.15 to trade at $82.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 104.64.
