Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Profile Syst (AT:PRFr), which rose 6.53% or 0.33 points to trade at 5.38 at the close. Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) added 1.37% or 0.24 points to end at 17.82 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was up 1.11% or 0.01 points to 1.27 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Public Power (AT:DEHr), which lost 2.58% or 0.30 points to trade at 11.32 in late trade. Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) declined 2.45% or 0.05 points to end at 1.83 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 2.45% or 0.15 points to 5.97.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 60 to 53 and 25 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.09% or 26.40 to $2,455.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.99% or 0.80 to hit $80.04 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.86% or 0.73 to trade at $84.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 104.14.
