Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which rose 2.72% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.29 at the close. Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) added 1.95% or 0.02 points to end at 1.15 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 1.53% or 0.36 points to 23.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Public Power (AT:DEHr), which lost 2.62% or 0.30 points to trade at 11.15 in late trade. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) declined 2.49% or 0.19 points to end at 7.29 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) shed 2.45% or 0.27 points to 10.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 44 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.45% or 36.95 to $2,579.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.39% or 1.61 to hit $68.92 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 2.04% or 1.44 to trade at $72.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 101.59.
