Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr), which rose 3.44% or 0.49 points to trade at 14.72 at the close. Alumil (AT:ALMr) added 2.20% or 0.07 points to end at 3.02 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 2.12% or 0.04 points to 1.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which lost 5.48% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.05 in late trade. Ideal Group SA (AT:IDEr) declined 2.64% or 0.16 points to end at 5.91 and Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) shed 2.50% or 0.10 points to 3.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 66 to 36 and 33 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.07% or 50.00 to $2,365.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.50% or 0.39 to hit $77.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.83% or 0.68 to trade at $81.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 104.02.
