Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:TWSr), which rose 3.80% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.28 at the close. Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr) added 2.38% or 0.50 points to end at 21.50 and Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) was up 1.75% or 0.14 points to 8.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr), which lost 2.26% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.21 in late trade. Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) declined 1.99% or 0.04 points to end at 1.97 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) shed 1.97% or 0.03 points to 1.59.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 51 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.73% or 19.60 to $2,675.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.49% or 0.33 to hit $68.00 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.31% or 0.22 to trade at $71.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 100.05.
