Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which rose 7.01% or 0.26 points to trade at 3.89 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 1.74% or 0.20 points to end at 11.70 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 1.65% or 0.07 points to 4.32 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which lost 1.90% or 0.48 points to trade at 24.72 in late trade. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 1.73% or 0.07 points to end at 3.92 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) shed 1.60% or 0.19 points to 11.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 62 to 56 and 26 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.39% or 9.30 to $2,404.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.53% or 1.20 to hit $77.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 1.09 to trade at $81.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 104.26.
