Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 4.05% or 0.60 points to trade at 15.40 at the close. Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) added 2.37% or 0.75 points to end at 32.35 and Hellenic Exchanges Athens Stock Exchange SA (AT:EXCr) was up 1.70% or 0.08 points to 4.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr), which lost 5.64% or 1.55 points to trade at 25.95 in late trade. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) declined 3.96% or 0.33 points to end at 8.10 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) shed 2.84% or 0.03 points to 1.16.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 56 and 23 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.05% or 1.30 to $2,426.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.59% or 1.23 to hit $75.93 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.52% or 1.22 to trade at $79.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 104.42.
