Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which rose 5.11% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.47 at the close. Loulis Mills (AT:LOUr) added 4.53% or 0.12 points to end at 2.77 and Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) was up 3.77% or 0.08 points to 2.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which lost 1.63% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.41 in late trade. Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) declined 0.73% or 0.06 points to end at 8.14 and Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:TWSr) shed 0.65% or 0.02 points to 3.08.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 34 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.41% or 9.60 to $2,338.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.90% or 0.72 to hit $80.44 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.82% or 0.69 to trade at $84.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.92.
