Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Household and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 9.56% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.490 at the close. Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) added 7.13% or 0.380 points to end at 5.700 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 6.90% or 0.010 points to 0.155 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which lost 12.05% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.219 in late trade. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 3.04% or 0.021 points to end at 0.669 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) shed 2.62% or 0.070 points to 2.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 35 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.40% or 5.11 to $1276.91 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $50.49 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $56.13 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1762, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8875.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.33.
